About absofort – AI continuing education from Switzerland

Where absofort comes from

Alpasana GmbH was formed in 2018 from the merger of two sole proprietorships that have worked at the intersection of education, language and technology since 2001. absofort grew out of this combined experience as a course offering – not as a side project, but as the result of what we do every day.

In vocational education we carry responsibility for the quality of Swiss federal final examinations: over 200 exams a year, a team of more than 100 specialist examiners, compliant and appeal-proof. Added to this is many years of practice assessing ICT competences along concrete job roles – and shared responsibility within the industry association ICT-BBAG.

For us, AI is not a topic of the future but has been fully integrated into our own processes for years. We develop and automate processes for institutions and public administrations – and pass on exactly this practical knowledge in our courses.

This practice also shows in specialist books, in projects with the canton and the SAH, and in a long-standing collaboration with Digicomp.

Our mission

Artificial intelligence is changing work and everyday life faster than any technology before it. Our goal is to make AI competence accessible to everyone – without expensive in-person seminars, without prior knowledge and in German. From beginners and SMEs to kids: at absofort, people learn to use AI meaningfully, safely and confidently.

What we stand for

• Practice before theory: real tasks instead of grey theory – including an AI-supported assessed practical task as proof of own work.
• Swiss context: content related to the Data Protection Act (FADP), SME reality, CHF and Swiss work culture.
• Understandable: no jargon – complex topics explained simply and in German.
• Verifiable: verifiable certificates with unique ID and public verification URL.
• Fair & safe: especially in the kids courses, we pay attention to safety, data protection and honest use of AI.

How we teach – problem-oriented & motivating

Our didactic foundation comes from around 15 years of experience as an ICT vocational teacher and job-role expert. From this came a clear learning principle: you do not learn about a topic, but by solving real tasks.

• Problem-oriented tasks (Problem-Based Learning): Every module follows a continuous, realistic practical case. Instead of theory in reserve, you solve concrete problems from the start – knowledge arrives exactly when you need it to solve them. That makes it stick and immediately useful at work.
• Gamification that keeps you going: Experience points (XP), learning levels, quizzes and visible progress turn continuing education into a game with a real goal. Small successes keep motivation high – even alongside everyday work.
• Personal AI learning coach: Stuck while working on an assignment? Your coach sits beside you in every lesson, knows exactly what you are working on and answers your questions directly on the problem – patiently, as often as you need, until it clicks. The most common reason for dropping out of online courses – being stuck alone – disappears.
• Active instead of passive: short learning units, immediate feedback and a final practical task as proof of own work – no passive clicking through.

How our courses are created

We develop our course content with state-of-the-art AI models (including Claude) and curate it carefully – keeping it current and practical. The final practical task in each course is individually assessed with AI support: generic or copied answers do not pass. This transparency matters to us – you should know how your content and proof are created.

Quality, safety & data protection

All content is in German and takes the revised Data Protection Act (FADP) into account. In the kids courses, we do not ask for children’s private data and promote safe, fair use of AI. Every certificate can be verified via a public URL – for you, for employers and for clients.

Transparency about our diploma

The diploma programme leads to the “AI Transformation Professional – Diploma of Alpasana GmbH”, a private, verifiable proof of learning. It also prepares learners for the federal professional examination “AI Business Specialist”. The federal certificate is awarded exclusively by the official examination body after passing the state examination – not by Alpasana GmbH. This clear distinction is important to us.

The team behind absofort

absofort is teamwork. The concept for this platform was jointly developed by Nataliya und Sascha Fiechter and they continue to develop it. The starting point is always the current needs: What do learners, families and the job market really need? We collect these needs and translate them together into practical courses. Only the combination of Nataliya’s process know-how and Sascha’s subject and didactic expertise made absofort possible in this form.

Nataliya Fiechter brings in the human side and process know-how. Her focus is on coaching and personal development: She ensures that, despite all the technology, the person remains at the centre – for example through the guiding idea “relationship before control, attitude before technology”. Together with Sascha Fiechter, she is co-author of the parent guide “Mein Kind im KI-Zeitalter” and shapes the attitude with which absofort teaches AI: warm, responsible and close to everyday life.

Sascha Fiechter has taught ICT modules for around 15 years. He holds the teaching diploma for vocational schools as well as the diploma for full-time teachers at higher professional schools and thus combines sound pedagogical and didactic experience with IT know-how. He shares this knowledge in several specialist books (see below) and through the learning platform absofort – practical, understandable and tailored to the Swiss context.
